Avant Homes UK

Has posted a 40% leap in operating profit in its annual results and reiterated a strategy to more than double its housebuilding to 4,000 homes a year.

The group produced an operating profit of £63.2m from a 21% rise in revenue to £446.9m for the year to 27 April.

The group’s average selling price rose 5.9% to £257,400, with home completions up 16% to 1,902 during the year.

The group also confirmed a new strategy revealed by Property Week in March of a new five-year target of more than doubling output to 4,000 homes by 2023.

The growth will be delivered through extending the product range and a geographic expansion.

Colin Lewis, chief executive of Avant Homes, said: “The continuing health of housing market conditions in the Midlands, the north of England and the central belt of Scotland where we operate, and the continued buoyancy of our mid-market offering supports our plan to ramp up our growth targets to more than double our output to 4,000 aspirational, design-led homes per annum by 2023.

“We remain committed to investing in land in our key Northern regions, exemplified by our excellent land supply, and have made positive progress optimizing our efficiencies and increasing our margins.

Our product range continues to evolve to cover a larger portion of the UK housing market and customer demand for our aspirational homes is increasing.”
